Top Model Makeovers

Top Model Makeovers

"What I have learned in the seasons of watching America's Next Top Model is that they do not want these girls to look like top models."

The debut of the 18th cycle of America's Next Top Model delivered, like all of the other 17 seasons before it. The next episode features the infamous makeover. For those unfamiliar with America's Next Top Model the girls are all given hideous makeovers. The one and only Tyra Banks personally decides what each girl's makeover should look like. The woman has some awful taste in style when it comes to other people. If a girl has healthy, flowing, long hair, then Tyra will tell the stylist to cut it all off. If one of the models has medium length hair, Tyra may decide to add a ridiculous looking weave.

What I have learned in the seasons of watching America's Next Top Model is that they do not want these girls to look like top models. The last time I checked no top model looks the way most of these women look after the makeover, horrible. Supermodels are known for having an “it” factor, that is hard to replicate, and the makeovers that are given to these women follow unsightly trends.

Everyone knows that the modeling world is about change, and being able to adapt to it. You won't always be able to keep your hair waist length or rock a cute pixie cut, but at least you may be able to walk away with your dignity. The show strips away the things that make these models individuals, and leaves them with artificial styles. By the end of the season the hair looks so terrible, that you can hardly remember whether or not these girls had a makeover.

The makeover episode features Kris Jenner as a guest star, which makes little to no sense at all. Check out the preview below.
